Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow for Beer-Mas

It's that time of year when Lake Erie and Lake Ontario combine forces to make everything beautiful for  a few days and everyone start counting down the days until spring. That's right, Lake Effect Snow, and we got some today (and probably a bunch more tonight!)

As being one of America's snowiest cities, it's safe to say that we get at least 2x more snow than most of the country. So with that in mind, I present you the next Beer-Mas brew!

December 11th

2XMAS by Southern Tier Brewing Company

Southern Tier calls this a double spiced ale brewed in the tradition of Swedish Glögg, but having never had any Glögg, I can't really speak to that. It's also suggested that you pair this with pickled herring, which I'm fresh out of. What I can say though is that this is a wholly complex, deep red, loaded with nutmeg and orange peel, super warming beer.

In only the second year for this beer, it's safe to say that Southern Tier is making a move to get in amongst some of the other Christmas Beer classics. A well done and fantastic addition to this years Beer-Mas.

Skål! (Cheers!)
